BEAR TRAPS NUMBER 15
The No. 15 Trap weighs 24 pounds and is 36 inches long with spread of 12 inches. The cast jaws are offset and have teeth. The heavy chain has a swivel and a large ring like the old traps. The pan on the No. 15 reads "Mackenzie District Fur and Trade Co. LTD, HBC, No. 15, Fabrique 1886."
Each trap has its own serial number. The serial number is stamped on the right hand side of the frame. The no. 6 starts with AFT, and the No. 15 starts with MDF.
We put the No. 6 by the No. 15 to show the difference in the size of the two traps.
