Directions for applying Tires.
Mount machine vertically with bolts or screws to post or wall, of sufficient height to allow the wheel to pass under.
Insert wires in tire, extending them 3 inches outside of rubber, clamping them in right-hand jaws, Place wheel on support; bring tire around wheel and pass wires through both jaws, grip each end in separate clutches and turn large wheel until slack is taken out. Now, if one wire is tighter than the other, adjust with small wheel until tension is even. See that wires are in the grooves of left jaw; then clamp wire, file and braze. After brazing is complete, seam may be tested by turning wheel on top screw; then lower support and loosen jaws. |
